So

So I've not been so great about keeping up like I said, however, it has been less than a year this time!

So since then here's a rundown:

-Shoe store is doing great in Sheridan. Staying busy and expanding a little at a time. There's lots of changes so you need to come by if you havent been here in a while.

-Our 10u softball team won league for the 3rd strait season and took 2nd place at ASA State Tournament!! We came in 3rd last year so we were super excited for 2nd, especially since we beat last years champs and put them in 3rd!
Also our 12u won league in their division as well!

-Been able to catch up with a new found cousin, Tanna. She seems so sweet and really has a heart to show God to others. I've been really blessed and joyed to follow her blog and chat with her a couple of times and get to know her. Hopefully we get to actually meet soon.

-Our dog Annie is still crazy, but getting better. She's finally calmed down enough to turn in to a cuddly lap/cuddle dog that I was wanting. But she's still crazy. I dont know whats with her.

-We're anxiously waiting for Allen & Holli to be chosen by a birth mom as they are an officially waiting family. They are so wonderful and Anderson is just a joy and such a ham. I think its awesome how God fits everything together in His timing and when we don't even know, we just think we're waiting.

-Between softball and the store we've been really busy although its a short list. I'll see about getting some pics up soon of the team and Annie, she's grown since her November pictures.

Have a great day! The suns out by a big rain cloud so we'll see who wins. I vote rain if it means its less hot!

Apology

I greatly apologize to my blog. My lost, lonely, neglected blog. I'm sorry to leave you out there in computer purgatory, without a glimmer of when I would return.

Its sad, its really sad. My last post is dated Feb. 11, 2009. Very very sad.

I'm not going to summarize a whole year. But it was great and we opened a shoe store and I absolutely love it. I now know why I never had a diary. So here's to maybe doing a better job of blogging.

Have a great day to anyone who still checks on me after a year and 14 days of non posting!

Happy Anniversary Mom & Dad

My parents celebrated 40 years of marriage this past Sunday. I see how the last 8 months have flown by for me and Steve but its still hard to fathom the next 40 years! We are truly blessed to have this mark to strive for in our own marriage and thank God for having parents who were willing to endure the good, the bad, and the 3 of us. We love you mom and dad, Happy Anniversary! We all spent a great evening at Murray's Dinner Playhouse for their anniversary. I think this is the first time all 8 of us have been together when its not a holiday or when someone's spouse isn't working. No kids, just grown ups.

Wrapping up...

the month of January! I can't believe its almost February!! This month has been a little crazy cuz I feel like I'm just working all the time. I went back to work part time at Grove & Co in October and tax season has started and it seems like real estate has picked up for me too, which is great. I'm not complaining, just a lil overwhelmed sometimes. But God is providing so much and we're so grateful!! Since my last post....

1.) Found out my good friend Leah is getting married!! yea! and the proposal was so sweet and I'm super excited for her!!

2.)I've gotten to see Anderson quite a bit and he's growing like a weed and is really getting a personality.

This is Anderson with Aunt Donna who we got to visit with some this week. We miss seeing her often, but we were happy to get together with the fam for lunch on Monday!

3.) Steve and I went to, get ready to be countryfied, the Big Buck Classic. It was "as seen on tv".
It was pretty neat seeing all the deer, especially the ones with neat stories. But I probably won't be going again. Once was good for me. Too many wranglers, people in one room, and too many country folk. Lets not even discuss the guy from Texas who shows rattlesnakes. I couldnt even look at them. All I could think about was how insane he must be. I mean, what did his wife think when he came home one day and said "honey, we're going on the road to show rattlers."

Anyway, I did enjoy seeing the new camero!! It was great to look at since we probably wont be driving one anytime soon!

4.) Its already been 7months of marriage! Wow, its flown by. I'm about ready to revisit one of my first posts "14 things i've learned about marriage". I've got a few to add to the list.

5.) I'm cold. I'm tired of being cold. I'm actually happy January went so fast b/c I'm cold. I'm tired of being cold.

6.) And last but not least, I listed a new house. Its a friend of ours and its a beautiful home. You can see pictures on realtor.com. The home has 4 bedrooms and is listed for $185,000. But if you are looking for something different, call me and I'll see what I can find.

I guess I'm going to go ahead and start on February's posts. I usually end up behind.

Finally...

Chrismas Pictures!!

My "woodsy" tree complete with cranberries and brown satin ribbon from Carter's Gallery & Gifts and pinecones and limbs from our own backyard. (We may rethink the pinecones next year b/c a certain puppy kept taking them off of the tree.)

Aprons I had made for the girls, aren't they cute! This year my goal was to do my Christmas shopping here in town. I didn't get it all, but I did about 75% locally, so that was pretty good. The aprons above and mom's bag all came from Creative Sensations. (located across from Go South)

Holli's 50 year old cookie jar came from Resurrections Antique Mall on the square.
Next year, and I need a head start, I would like to do more of my shopping Downtown and encourage everyone else to visit all of our new shops that have opened up this past year and spend your money locally.

A Merry Christmas

I intended today to post pictures of Christmas with my brand new camera I received from my DH, but its not wanting to load onto the computer, or I'm not doing it right. Probably the 2nd. So I will come back and post some pictures later. But, we had a wonderful first married Christmas this year, and I am so blessed to have such wonderful husband, family and friends to share it with. I didn't do a lot of decorating this year, but I'm pretty proud of my "woodland" tree (pic to come) and next year I hope to get started a little sooner on my decorations and do what I had intended to do, instead of just being done with it because that was about the 5th (and last) tree I was going to decorate. I hope everyone also had a wonderful Christmas and I hope 2009 will be a Blessed New Year for you and your family!

Umm...

So i realized i haven't blogged in a while. oops. I completely missed November! So here is my blog for November. Although it was busy, but mainly uneventful, we had a great Thanksgiving with my family and lots of great food! I didnt go all out decorating for fall, but did manage to put a wreath on my door, and its not Martha Stewart worthy, but this is what it ended up like after trying to do the ribbon 7 times! (its a little battered from the storm the other day)

The highlight of November came on the very last night of the month. Someone had dropped 2 puppies at our house. We had pulled in the driveway and saw something on our porch. We backed up to shine the light on it and 2 little faces peeked out. This is the following conversation:

me: "WE'VE GOT PUPPIES!!"

steve: no we dont.

me: yes we do!! we've got puppies!!

steve: nu huh, no we dont.

me: uh huh!! we've got puppies!!

Anyone notice the difference in punctuation in our sentences? So we found a great home for one of them and here is our newest member of the family, Annie.

I call her our Lil Orphan Annie, but we really named her Annie Oakley. Our other dog is named Cowboy, so now we have Cowboy and Annie Oakley.

Merry Christmas everyone and God Bless!!
